St Jude's In The Mountains Anglican Church - Tehachapi CA
St Judes In The Mountains
Whenever and wherever I have heard people discussing our current elections, most conversations end with "God help us!"

This is exactly what people are praying and should be praying.  Do you think people really know they are praying when they say, "God help us!"  Prayer is powerful and for several months we have urged St. Jude's members to use the Book of Common Prayer and a little booklet entitled, "Pray for Our Nation".

Please take a look at the display of books concerning prayer in the sanctuary.   You will find a few copies of this prayer booklet on the display table.  You can learn and experience how powerful prayer is and how important it is to you as well as to our nation.

On behalf of Prayer Circle and  Library,
Judy Auger

Prayer is something we can offer every day and not just on Sundays.  Each month the prayer requests, which are printed in the St. Jude's Church Bulletin, will be printed in the newsletter so that we can include our church family and friends in our daily prayers.  Prayer requests should be submitted to the Prayer Box located in the church or contact Judy Auger or Jack Hill for emergency prayer requests.

Please include the following members of our church family and friends in your prayers:
Archbishop Venables, Bishop Schofield, Kimberly, Victor, Ann Marie, Kathryn, Wilma,
Myrtle, Bryan,Sr., Bryan Jr., Randy, Wayne C., Joanna, Dan, Keith, Jim, Tom P., Bob, Greg,
Jim, John, Jen, Jenifer, members of our Armed Forces, and our Missionaries Dottie Gleason,
Jim and Philista Short, and Martin and Rose Bunsey.

On Sunday, November 16th we will once again host Fr. Martin Bunsey to preach and to share with us his ministry in Laos.  The Lord is still doing mighty things through Fr. Martin and his wife Rose, as they continue to build upon Jacob's Ranch and their education ministry.  Please join us for a celebration of his ministry.
